The Local Mission Giving for 2019
- Pentecostal Church of Idaho International’s Ladies Emergency Fund. This congregation meets at Hillview. A fund of $260 is made available to help members with emergency needs.
- Giraffe Laugh Day Care Center. A local non-profit, provides early childhood education and nurturing care to 200 Treasure Valley children daily, by ensuring school readiness, empowering families and building strong futures. There are four locations, including serving babies and toddlers of pregnant and parenting teens at the Marian Pritchett High School.
- Angel Tree Program. Christmas gifts are purchased for children of incarcerated parents.
Ladies Lunch. Our Hillview United Methodist Women prepare and serve a lunch on the second Tuesday of each month for the ladies who live at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home.
Care Packages. Homemade cookies are boxed up and given to Hillview UMC Young Adults for Valentine gifts.
Carrier Food Drive. Hillview UMC volunteers assist Idaho Foodbank with sorting food at the Cole Station Post Office each second Saturday of May.
National and Global Mission
60% of our Hillview Unit pledges are given to missions nationally and globally through our pledge to mission. United Methodist Women pays special attention to the needs of women and children, especially among those who are poor, lack formal education or training, and have few legal rights.
Hillview United Methodist Women also participate with other channels of giving—World Thank Offering, Gift in Mission cards, Gift in Memory cards, and Special Mission Recognition Pins.
