Yount Adult Ministries

If you are a young adult (after high school age through your thirties - or so), come join us every  Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the youth house for fun, conversation, building relationships, and just basically enjoying life.  On the second and fourth Tuesday, we add a lesson - Who is Jesus?  We will find out together!

As part of a small, tight-knit, loving church, you will find a genuine, warm Christian ‘family’ that you are a vital part of.  With your energy, ideas, creativity and passion, you can become leaders in our community.  Unlock the potential!

Invite your friends.  Why should you have all the fun?   We know everything can be overwhelming, balancing school, work, home-life, etc.  If you are like everyone else, your schedule is full of demands.  Take this time away from the hustle and bustle and offer yourself the rest that only Christian fellowship can provide.

New Study Beginning

We will be starting a new study on August 23. Who is Jesus? We will dig through our Bibles to answer that question. Was he just a man? Is he God? Was he God's son? Was he a really good teacher? Is he here now? Is he coming back? Why was he on earth? How am I supposed to have a relationship with him and what does that look like? What is the resurrection? How did he save us? What is a parable and why did Jesus preach with them?

This will not be a quick fix study. We are going to take some time and really explore these topics. Please read the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) before the 23rd. Don't worry about studying them and trying to figure out what everything means. Just read them as if you are reading a novel. There are four books and four weeks, so it would be a good idea to read one a week and not wait until the day before to read them.  :)   If you aren't a reader, there are apps to have them read to you, or you might check the library (or a friend) to see if they have the bible on a cd so you can listen to it. While you are reading, if you have a question write it down or text it to me. I'll make sure it gets added to the list of things we will address.

BTW.  It doesn't matter which version of the Bible you choose to use.  I prefer the NIV, but that is because it is the one I used to learn how to study and it is easy for me to read and (hopefully) understand.  After you get more practice studying, you will find that not only will you use your 'regular' Bible, but you will also use different versions as well.  If you don't have a Bible of your own, let me know and I'll make sure you get one.  Christi - 208-869-2398
