We’re looking forward to meeting you.
We are a Reconciling Congregation, welcoming all persons into full participation in the life of the congregation regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family configuration, racial or ethnic background, economic status, or mental or physical abilities. As we journey to the reconciliation of all persons as children of God, we celebrate our human family’s diversity.
What is a Reconciling Congregation?
A reconciling congregation is a local United Methodist church that makes a public statement welcoming all persons, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, to participate fully in its congregational life.
Hillview is part of the Reconciling Ministries Network, organized in 1984, a growing movement of United Methodist individuals, congregations, campus ministries, and other groups working for the full participation of all people in the United Methodist Church. Hillview UMC voted to become a Reconciling Congregation in May 2011 and was the first United Methodist congregation in Idaho to do so.
