Info for Families

Trunk or Treat is back for our 11th year! 🎉 This safe, family-friendly day has become a Hillview tradition, bringing our community together for laughter, costumes, and creative fun.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, October 25th
  • Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (sensory hour 2:45-3:45pm) 
  • Location: Hillview UMC 8525 W Ustick Rd Boise, ID

Families can expect an afternoon full of decorated trunks, candy, games, raffle prizes, and our monster chalk obstacle course.

🆕 Sensory-Friendly Hour

From 2:45–3:45 PM, kids who benefit from a quieter setting can enjoy Trunk or Treat without loud music or big crowds. Alternative non-candy treats will be available. Registration is required and limited to 60 participants.

Free to Attend, Donations Welcome

We’re proud to offer this event free of charge, making it accessible to everyone in our community. If you’d like to support events like this in the future, donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Additional Information 

  • 👉 Parking: We have a large lot with plenty of space. Please enter from Ustick Road and follow the one-way traffic flow for safety.
  • ☕ Food & Drinks: We’re working on bringing in a coffee trunk—grab your pick-me-up while the kids play!
  • 🌦️ Weather: The event is planned outdoors; check our page for updates if weather looks uncertain.

The more the merrier at this event! We love supporting our local businesses and organizations. You’re invited to join in the fun—either host a trunk or set up a booth with an activity.

Host a Trunk

Help make the magic happen by hosting a trunk! The more trunks, the more treats—and the more fun for the kids. Get creative with your decorations, dress up in costume, and be part of this unforgettable tradition. Trunks arrive by 2pm to start setting up. For more information and to sign up click Here

Showcase a Booth

In lieu of handing out candy, we ask booths to provide a fun, interactive activity that kids can enjoy again and again. Activities don’t need to be fall-themed—think soccer skill challenges, pumpkin bowling, ring toss, giant bubbles, or simple craft stations. With more than 1,000 people joining us, activities that are quick, repeatable, and engaging work best. This is a wonderful way for your business or organization to connect with families while adding to the festive spirit of Trunk or Treat.

Stock the Trunks

It takes a lot of treats to make Trunk or Treat a success—and not just candy! We’re collecting both candy and small non-candy goodies.

Donations can be dropped off at Hillview from now till Oct 22nd, or you can shop from our Amazon Wish List to send items directly to the church. Every bag of candy or prizes helps us create a fun and welcoming celebration.
